Voices in Nature / performance

Voice in Contact with the Earth

Performances of voice and singing in open-air spaces or in semi-covered or indoor locations with unique acoustics and energies.

Throughout the centuries, human beings have evolved by developing new vocal techniques, becoming increasingly intellectual and less instinctive. This work aims to rediscover the roots of the voice, taking a moment to step away from the head and reconnect with the entire body, rediscovering sounds “from the belly.” Discovering sounds that speak of who we are and resonate with the body. Ancestral sounds connected to the instinctive, animal side of humans — expressing, singing, shouting, crying, laughing, sighing…

Sometimes, the performance is preceded by one or more voice, breath, and creativity workshops to prepare those who wish to participate actively during the performance, particularly through improvisation. The workshop can take place on the same day, the day before, or as several sessions organized in the months leading up to the event to prepare for the performance.
